Terms of Service (Visitors)

1. What LocalRentals is

LocalRentals.gr (LocalRentals), operated by LocalRentals (Zakynthos, Greece · Ζάκυνθος, Ελλάδα), is a price comparison and advertising platform connecting visitors with local vehicle rental businesses on Greek islands.

We are not a rental company. We do not own vehicles, we do not enter into rental agreements with visitors, and we do not process rental payments between travelers and vendors.

The platform acts solely as a technical hosting intermediary: we host and display content submitted by partner businesses (photos, prices, phone numbers, text). We do not verify or guarantee the accuracy, legality, or intellectual property rights of that material.

2. Services we provide

• Search and compare indicative prices for cars, motorcycles, ATVs, and boats.
• Display local business details (name, preferred contact channel).
• Connect visitors to vendors through instant messaging channels, including but not limited to WhatsApp and Viber, via “Check Availability” — with no visitor account or on-platform booking form.

3. What we do not do

• We do not store visitors’ personal data (name, email, phone, passport) for search or contact requests.
• We do not collect rent, deposits, or insurance on behalf of third parties.
• We do not guarantee availability, quality, safety, or legality of any vehicle.
• We do not mediate disputes between visitors and rental businesses.

4. Relationship between visitor and vendor

Any rental contract is formed directly between the traveler and the local rental business — typically through instant messaging channels, including but not limited to WhatsApp and Viber — under the vendor's terms, pricing, insurance, and applicable Greek / EU law. LocalRentals.gr is not a party to the rental agreement; we only provide a listing and contact introduction channel.

Displayed prices are indicative, based on vendor-declared rates and search dates. The final price is determined by the vendor.

5. Visitor obligations

• Use the platform only for lawful rental enquiries.
• No abuse of the contact/availability system (fake clicks, bots, fraud).
• Respectful communication with vendors; we do not guarantee a reply.

6. Intellectual property

Platform brand, software, UI, and content belong to the operator. Vehicle photos belong to vendors or licensed third parties. Scraping, copying listings, or automated data extraction without written permission is prohibited.

7. Disclaimer of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for accidents, damage, delays, cancellations, incorrect vendor information, or unavailable vehicles.

As a hosting intermediary, we are not liable for photos, phone numbers, prices, or other content supplied by vendors, nor for the final rental contract agreed directly between the visitor and the rental business.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after publication constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be posted on this page.

9. Governing law & contact

Governing law: Greece. Courts: operator’s registered seat, unless mandatory EU consumer law provides otherwise.
